The EWA sisterhood helped me choose a path that was truly right for me—by showing me, again and again, that I would never walk it alone. Through this community, I found the courage to marry the love of my life without fear that another marriage failure would define me, because I knew after launch weekend that these women hold one another through divorces, lost homes to fire, career upheavals, and the deepest grief of losing family members. I knew they would guide me with the same care and steadiness. EWA also gave me the confidence to change careers—to believe there is always a bigger opportunity when you take the time to map success on your own terms. With the wisdom and professional mentorship of extraordinary women like my dear Anita St. Pierre, I learned that reinvention isn’t a risk when it’s supported by clarity, experience, and trust. And finally, this sisterhood made it possible for me to follow my heart across state lines. I moved knowing that a community of women was already waiting—ready to meet me, cheer me on, and help me land. From medical care to self‑care, from fashion finds (Mindy MacKenzie’s impeccable style) to paddle‑boarding adventures (also Mindy’s gift), from business alliances and introductions (thanks to Nicole Brownell and Whitney Johnson) to the best brunch spots and spa days when EWAs come to town—I was welcomed in every way that matters. My major life transitions have been supported in ways that were smart, stabilizing, and deeply human—so much so that it’s hard to fully articulate. What I feel most is overwhelming gratitude. Thank you to Larraine, Amy, and this entire organization for creating something so rare and so powerful. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

This is an amazing organization that supports women. It supports them not only from a business standpoint but a personal standpoint. I, as the founder and chairwoman of a very big company, have been involved in a lot of different organizations, and I can say hands down that this is the most personal organization that truly takes a deep dive into who you are and who you want to be on a very fun but yet professional and very kind of strategic standpoint. Lorraine is an amazing Mentor. She is an amazing leader, and with her leadership, I just don't think there's any other organization that you could get more out of than EWA."

I am a lifelong learner, an individual that lives as I climb and I'm an individual who believes in trust as a currency for business. I can truly say that my sisters in EWA are fully congruent with that part of my life and who I am. We share DNA, and that DNA is focused on ensuring that we become better than we ever thought possible

The Exceptional Women’s Alliance has profoundly shaped my life and career, surrounding me with a sisterhood of like-minded women who understand the unique challenges of C-suite leadership, career, transitions, and balancing family at the same time. Bring in the presence of EWA is a continuous call to rise as the best version of self. The deep bonds we’ve built go beyond networking—they are rooted in shared experiences, mutual growth, and an unwavering commitment to uplift one another and the next generation of women leaders.

EWA has been a game-changer for me. It has allowed me to have a community of friends, of stage advisors, of sisters that are invested in me professionally and personally. It has allowed me a sisterhood of fellow women that I can learn from and lean to, and also, they can lean to me. So it really has given me, afforded me, granted me a community that I really never knew existed or that I needed. And I am just tremendously grateful to EWA for that bench of friendship and knowledge that will continue throughout my life. So it is definitely one of the best gifts that I have ever been given or granted to myself.

EWA is a unique kind of organization. It's a sisterhood that locks arms to become a safety net to support and comfort each other, and then, we pull tighter for the safety net to become a trampoline, to enable each other to bounce, in different directions and different heights, still knowing we have our EWA safety net.

EWA has allowed me to not feel alone. As a Very A person it is hard to feel ‘like type” people. Every woman I have meet in EWA has been driving toward important milestones and achievements and I feel very happy to have found my tribe

EWA for me has been a pathway to finding a sisterhood I never knew I needed. It has been a way for me to partner and collaborate with individuals with expertise in their field. And by knowing, and being able to feel incredibly open to sharing what are maybe career challenges and or personal things that I may be going through with a group of women that are not only of the same caliber but also the same intellect and passions, so that it's safe. It feels like a sisterhood, unlike anything I've ever imagined. I plan to be with these women in different cities that I hail to, travel, open my home up, and expect that they would do the same for me at the drop of a dime. The way that we get great content and leadership from Larraine at the helm, other people that have been on the board, the way that they have opened or sisterhood to be able to provide such a great opportunity for us to really learn and grow it's unparalleled. So as people are deciding whether EWA is the place for them, or whether it's worthwhile the time, the money hands down it's priceless, it is absolutely worth it.

EWA is an amazing organization. And what was important for me is that it is not a one size fits all. Individuality is important to me, and EWA really celebrates that. The general philosophy of supporting and mentoring women appeals to everyone. But what really appealed to me was the nonjudgmental exchange of ideas, collaboration, and support that I have found from joining EWA. The camaraderie is astonishing. The exchange of business, philosophical, and strategic ideas are stimulating and important. And it has an amazing leader, Larraine Segil. When I talked to her about joining this organization, she promised me that happiness would be the result. That's a big promise, and no one's ever promised me that before. It's amazing. And so far, my experience has been nothing but positive and happy. So EWA is a special place, and I'm really happy to be here.

I've had the opportunity to be involved in a number of different organizations that provide services for business leaders, both men, and women-only organizations over the years, and EWA is really something special, unique, and different. Definitely did not expect this when I was joining EWA. The value is incredible, and in most of the other organizations that I'm involved with, there's definitely a clear bias towards just the business and making sure that you improve your business skills and your business acumen. EWA is different, because it's a lifelong sisterhood, it's a lifelong opportunity to get mentoring to be able to grow yourself personally, not just your professional development. So for me, that's been an incredible gift to be able to work with Larraine and so many other cohorts, and so many people specifically in my cohort group to be able to get the personal growth and development that I've been missing for so many years while I've been super focused on just the career development to sort of turn inward and be reflective about what I want, what's going to make me happy long-term in my life is such a gift from EWA.

My cohort is extraordinary. It is hard to believe that I have built deep, respectful relationships with such an accomplished and diverse group of women in a short time. Who knew this was even possible! When I joined EWA, I was moving into one of the most significant changes of my life, formal retirement. Through EWA, I have met and learned from women I would never have been exposed to without being a member of this organization. The mentoring, friendship, and experiences have added much to my life. I have clarity and purpose due to the interactions with you, my ML, and my Cohort. I am excited for the many experiences yet to come.

I’m still new to the EWA community, our cohort had just launched when I left for a solo trip abroad. It felt like a meaningful step, both exciting and a little daunting. What I didn’t expect was how quickly such genuine connections would form with the remarkable women I met during our launch weekend. In just a few days, there was a real sense of understanding and belonging. When I returned home, still reflecting on the experience, I was deeply touched by an unexpected, thoughtful gesture waiting for me. It was a simple but powerful reminder that this is a community where people truly show up for one another. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a group of thoughtful, generous, and quietly powerful women who create space for connection and support—right from the very beginning.
